Jacques is just “Jack” in French.
I was born and raised in Paris. The one in France. I got my start as a motion designer for RCA Records during the golden age of music videos.

Currently residing in New York, having also lived in Paris and Peru, I speak English, French, and Spanish fluently. Today I work as a Creative, accessing inspiration from the places I’ve traveled and the roles I’ve played: Art Director, Designer, Animator, Editor, Sound Designer.

For several years, I’ve had the great fortune of collaborating with Johnson & Wolverton, first on award-winning Jaguars campaigns, then leading the motion and visual behavior for a wave of network rebrands (including The Sundance Channel, BBC America, and CW Seed).

I am obsessive-compulsive about typography and visual hierarchy. I enjoy experimenting with different mediums: stop motion, paint, projections, practical motion graphics, and analog photography, to name a few. I'm also fascinated by furniture design, product design, and architecture.

An avid music collector since I first raided my father’s record collection at the tender age of 10, I have accumulated over 3500 vinyl records and I’m proud to admit that they are not only organized alphabetically, they are also categorized by genre. Jazz, Funk, Soul, Bossa Nova, Blues, Rock, Hip Hop, Rock-Steady, and Reggae.

My heroes: Joseph Müller-Brockmann, Herb Lubalin, Danny Mc Bride, George Nelson, James Brown, Cassandre, Raymond Loewy, the 2 Jacques (Cousteau & Pépin), Curtis Mayfield, Stanley Kubrick, William Klein, Kyle Cooper, Francis Wolff & Reid Miles, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Doisneau, Anne Lefort, anything Nicolas Cage, Phillip Johnson. And before you ask, I prefer Peter Sellers to Jerry Lewis.
